Advice on a loan?

Hello everybody. I’m young and was planning to buy a vehicle I’ve been saving for the last 7 months. Found one I like privately so I tried to get a loan and couldn’t get approved. My dad said he’d co-sign for me and even with him on there I couldn’t get half of what I needed. I have a good job at 18 and make 43 a hour with a net income of 5200 dollars a month without overtime. My dad also has a really good job and is ranked within the top bracket of credit scores. Is there anything I can do about this or should I just cut my losses and wait till a dealership gets something in that I like?

Heyy! I’ve worked as a direct support provider for over 2 years now, which essentially is at home care for adults with developmental disabilities. I’ve worked with all kinds of clients throughout that time frame from high functioning to them being solely dependent on you and i feel very confident in my work with working with individuals with developmental disabilities. I have 3 interviews scheduled this next week for RBT jobs. Interviews are always a little scary right bc you don’t know what they’re going to say or ask. I’m curious what would be some good questions to ask them, and what I should expect them to ask me.

Hello, I see some NUC were announced at CES 2025 by ASUS, HP and Lenovo. Are there one that is dead silent and can drive two 5K displays and one 4K display independently?

Pity NC Red or save half anni

So I managed to get all 3 NC Kanto at least once (1/5) and these are the results but they are going to go in a few hours from now and I just realized with 10k gems left I can still pity NC Red.

Problem is no datamine happened which is a bummer now I am stumped if I should pity him. I planned to just use candy but I got the idea of just pitying him when my gems replenished and plan to pass on the candy to my next best candidate SS Lysandre for strike who's been a long time 1/5 and I slept on until I saw in the tier list he is very strong and I wanted him for special water aoe nuke which I lack.

Things to consider half anni is close but hopefully some 20kish gems for Feb (pls DeNa), I also am determined to skip whatever MF/PF/Seasonal banner new or rerun bait for Feb its purely saving for half anni. Additionally, I am not too inclined to invest/prep for any competitive ranked events. I am more attracted to units that would help me clear UBs cause I haven't started not a single one and plan to do so this year.

No DP Signal Detected

Last night, my computer was working fine. Today, when I go to turn it on, the computer is working fine, the peripherals seem to have power, but the monitor keeps saying “no DP signal detected”. I’ve tried everything, from unplugging and replugging the monitor in, to unplugging the cable, to flipping the ends, everything was working perfectly last night and I have no clue why it’s not working today. Any advice would be appreciated.

If I had to describe my mom in one word, it’d be CRINGE. She’s a flat earther, conspiracy theorist, and carnivore dieter who can ONLY talk about the three subjects just mentioned. Growing up with her was really difficult, and I have vivid memories of my younger self promising that she’d never meet my future children. Fast forward to now—I’m 40, much more passive and forgiving, and I really wanted my kids (4 and 7) to have a relationship with their grandmother. My husband and I allowed them to visit her unsupervised for a few hours at a time. Unfortunately, she has crossed some serious boundaries, and I’m at the point where I don’t think it’s healthy for my kids to be around her anymore. One of the most egregious moments happened when my oldest was 4. He came home from her house asking us why we lied to him about Santa being real. When I asked my mom about it, she said we were “bad parents” for lying to him. We cut off contact for six months after that incident but reconnected when my youngest was born. The most recent incident has completely crossed the line for us. After visiting her, my 4-year-old started crying in terror at bedtime once we turned off the lights. This was completely out of character, so we asked what was wrong. My 7-year-old chimed in: “Nonnie made us sit in the car for 45 minutes until we agreed with her that MONSTERS ARE REAL. She kept showing us pictures to prove it.” Now, my 4-year-old is terrified of the dark and has developed new fears and anxiety about monsters. Every night this week has been a struggle to calm him down. My husband and I both agree it’s best for the kids to not see her for a while. I haven’t spoken with her yet because I know she’ll just defend her actions, but I feel like I need to make this boundary clear for the sake of my kids. So, AITAH?

Arithmetic crash course for a relatively advanced student

(TL;DR at bottom) Hey! I love maths, and I'm fairly good at it, especially questions where I'm asked to prove something. However, I will be giving my country's equivalent of A-levels in Mathematics a month from now, where calculators are not allowed. Practising question papers, I realised that I make tons of 'silly' mistakes involving simple arithmetic calculations. The reason for this I'm guessing is that I wasn't taught arithmetic (specifically, subtraction and division) until seventh grade. Even after I was taught the algorithm, I kept coming up with shortcuts using addition and multiplication to avoid them, and I largely still do that. Funnily enough, I can divide polynomials perfectly, but not large numbers. I'm great at algebra, but I still do not know any times tables. **So: would someone please recommend (videos would be nice) a very fast-paced method to get good at arithmetic (specifically subtraction and division) very fast (if possible, I'd like to be extremely proficient in an hour)?**
